Amaka was 13 when her family pulled her out of school. With four younger siblings and no steady income, her dreams of becoming a teacher were replaced by daily chores and street hawking.
Everything changed when the Nnenna Eloka Foundation launched a Back-to-School Initiative for Girls in her community. NEF provided a scholarship, a school uniform, learning supplies and just as importantly, encouraged her parents to support her education
Today, Amaka is back in class. She’s confident, outspoken, and passionate about teaching young girls in her neighborhood..
At just 10 years old, Tobi started every morning with a long walk — not to school, but to a muddy stream nearly 2 kilometers from his home in Abia State. The water was heavy, unsafe, and the reason he was often late… or didn’t go to school at all.
In 2024, the Nnenna Eloka Foundation installed a solar-powered borehole in Tobi’s village. For the first time, clean water was just around the corner. Tobi now arrives early to school, healthy and excited to learn.
“Now I can drink cold water and still go to school on time. My mummy says NEF gave us a big gift.”
— Tobi A., Age 15
Tobi’s smile says it all — clean water doesn’t just quench thirst, it creates opportunity.

From grassroots empowerment programs to community-led initiatives, we equip youth, women, and families with the tools they need to rise — to learn, to lead, and to lift others.
We are more than a foundation — we are a movement of hope, purpose, and change. Whether it’s through skill-building workshops, scholarship drives, or relief missions, NEF works hand-in-hand with local communities to create lasting impact that speaks through generations.
Join us. Let’s build futures together — one life, one skill, one act of love at a time.
I used to feel invisible. NEF’s women’s leadership series gave me a voice and a vision. Today, I lead a group of 30 women artisans and run my own local market stall.
Aisha B KadunaVolunteering with NEF opened my eyes to what real impact looks like. It’s not just charity — it’s transformation. You don’t just give, you build.
Ifeanyi M Volunteer LeadGetting a scholarship from NEF lifted the biggest weight off my shoulders. I’m now the first in my family to attend university. I can never thank them enough.
Chioma E NEF ScholarWhen NEF partners with a community, they don’t just visit and leave. They listen. They build with us. That’s why our youth center still thrives today.
Chief Daniel OWe’d love to hear from you! Whether you have questions, want to volunteer, or wish to contribute, reach out to us and join the movement with us.
Before NEF, I had no clear path. But after the digital skills workshop, I launched my own small design business. Now I not only earn income, but I also train others in my community. NEF changed my life.
